On behalf of our long-established and highly regarded manufacturing sector client, we have an immediate and exciting opportunity for an experienced Sales Order Processor.

 

The role:

 

  • To accurately input all sales orders into Sage daily before the daily deadline.
  • To identify any customer order queries and ensure these are resolved by Customer service in a timely manner.
  • To check and validate all sales orders to ensure orders can process through production without error
  • Consult with Materials control on special requirement orders to ensure materials are available for order due dates
  • Consult with production planning to ensure production capacity is available for order due dates
  • To consult with finance to ensure customers are not on stop before processing orders
  • Consult with transport to ensure capacity for required due dates.
  • To raise accurate quotations and proformas where necessary
  • Accurate pricing and price reconciliation

 

Skills/experience required:

 

  • Computer literate and numerate
  • Experience of data entry/processing
  • Experience of working with ERP systems, ideally Sage
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Articulate, high attention to detail
  • Good communicator
  • Initiative-taking with positive attitude
  • Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
