On behalf of our long-established and highly regarded manufacturing sector client, we have an immediate and exciting opportunity for an experienced Sales Order Processor.
The role:
- To accurately input all sales orders into Sage daily before the daily deadline.
- To identify any customer order queries and ensure these are resolved by Customer service in a timely manner.
- To check and validate all sales orders to ensure orders can process through production without error
- Consult with Materials control on special requirement orders to ensure materials are available for order due dates
- Consult with production planning to ensure production capacity is available for order due dates
- To consult with finance to ensure customers are not on stop before processing orders
- Consult with transport to ensure capacity for required due dates.
- To raise accurate quotations and proformas where necessary
- Accurate pricing and price reconciliation
Skills/experience required:
- Computer literate and numerate
- Experience of data entry/processing
- Experience of working with ERP systems, ideally Sage
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Articulate, high attention to detail
- Good communicator
- Initiative-taking with positive attitude
- Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
