Salary: £18,493.18 per annum
Hours: 22.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

About the Role
As a Skills Coach, you will work closely with apprentices and employers, providing guidance, training, and assessment to help learners build the skills and confidence they need to succeed in civil engineering. Your role will involve mentoring apprentices, supporting their professional development, and ensuring they meet the requirements of their qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and assess apprentices in workplace settings, ensuring they progress in line with their training plan.
- Provide clear and constructive feedback to help learners develop their technical and professional skills.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with employers to ensure effective collaboration.
- Offer careers advice and guidance to help apprentices navigate their learning journey.
- Participate in promotional events and activities to engage with prospective learners and businesses.
- Monitor learner performance, identifying areas for improvement and providing tailored support.
- Promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment that values diversity.
- Uphold safeguarding principles and ensure the well-being of all learners.
What We’re Looking For
- A Level 4 qualification or higher in civil engineering or a related discipline.
- An assessor qualification (or a willingness to obtain one).
- Industry experience in civil engineering, with strong technical knowledge.
- An understanding of apprenticeship funding and regulations.
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
- Strong IT skills and the ability to travel as needed for learner support.
